Just wondering if anyone else out there has been trying the muskies. Went Saturday on Green River below Mammoth Cave. Had two nice fish follow and bump the bait but no hit. Tried figure 8 and fished turned away instead of chasing.
Suspicious that they may have spawned, especially with the water dropping. Anyone have a theory?

I put in at bville this am. and tried everything in the tackle box and got two strikes. I tried fishing for about four hours and then called it a day. I do not know about a spawn.
Do you fish there a lot? I saw a 40" musky come out of there about three weeks ago.

I caught two Saturday one 33" and one 36" There was a 47 1/2" - 41 lb musky caught Sunday in Tourney. All of them I have seen are beat up and bloody. Partner and I both had one on Sunday both were well over 40". I hooked up with mine in about 3.5' of water on crankbait. They shallow real shallow and eating anything that comes close to them.
I heard someone sunday say that you can tell the difference between native and released musky. Does anyone know if that is true.
A stocked musky will have one of the front fins clipped off.

I actually caught a tiger musky i guess out of green river lake last year.....took me a minute or two to figure out what it actually was....was only about 10-12 inches and as far as i know the stocked fish are released at 15 inches....was a wild looking fish to catch out of that lake

She was about 33" and bloody on tail and scrapped on one side.
