Guys ,
We took a day off and fished a favorite pit - got there and found out I forgot the trolling motor ! Luckily I had a paddle so we got to fish . Tried minnows for crappie and bass fished , caught 4 small bass on spinners and P worms , I caught a 12 crappie when it tried to pull my rod in the water after I set it down to light a smoke . It was the only one , the crappie seem to be slow but as the water warms it should get better . The pits we fish are W-A-Y down , I would says about 10-12 foot , we need some rain ! I bought a new Berkley AMP rod for bass fishing and it worked great , I felt every little tap on my power worm . Heres the info on them - Berkley® AMP™ unlike ANY other fishing rod. Lighter, Faster, More Sensitive! At the heart of the new AMP rods is increased sensitivity to give anglers the very best chance to turn even the subtlest strike into a catch. AMP rods feature X-Posed™ reel seats and split grip cork handles on both spinning and casting models, which allows the hand to remain in constant contact with the rod blank, to take sensitivity and light weight to a new level. - Its a really neat rod and sells for less than $30.00 .
Tight lines .
