Thanks..... been a "storm" fisherman for years!
We're heading down to the lake Saturday for 2 or 3 days...... I'll let you know how we did!
Mudfish,
I was down at LC last weekend for three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)and the striper fishing was good. I was fishing by myself and also had friends fishing in other boats. We all did catch some stripers, but I did the best. I caught my limit within a couple of hours everyday and the fish I caught were big (15# to 20# fish). I caught the stripers trolling live shad at depth of 20 feet. Free lines seemed to work the best. The thing that surprised me the most was that I was fishing over the creek channe and I was not close to the banks (approximately 50 to 70 yards away from the bank). This time of the year most people fish very close to the banks. The key is to find large schools of bait and the stripers will be close by. The areas you are talking about should be good fishing. I have not fished to much up in greasy this year because I have not produced many stripers in that creek. Plus that creek is exteremly popular and it always seems to be crowded with other boats. I would recommend trying Caney or Wolf. Good luck and post your results when you get back.
