Site admin: please don't move this thread to the tournament forum!
Fellas, I need your opinion. I work for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Every year, we participate in the Kentucky Employees Charitable Campaign (KECC). Our Division has in the past had various fundraisers such as raffles for donated items and we sell donated books. This year, probably late September, we are planning to host an open bass fishing tournament (team format) with a portion of the proceeds going to KECC.
Obviously, we want a lot of participation. To maximize entries, where should we host this? We expect most of our particpants to live in or near Central and Northern KY.
Second, what is a reasonable entry fee?
Finally, what's a reasonable payback percentage to the anglers?
Thanks in advance.

Lake Cumberland for the site, $100 - $150.00 per boat, 70% payback. I'm an assistant director of a bass tournament circuit trail, and these are reasonable numbers to abide by if you are trying to get a big turnout with reasonable proceeds.
Hope this helps.![]()
