Just thought of something else I wanted to ask. I've only been to Kentucky Lake to crappie fish. Will the bass be in the same area, i.e. Blood River or Johnathan's Creek? Thanks.

For the most part, they will be moving shallower shortly, look for channel banks a place where the deeper water comes close to the bank
green gets hot for about 2 weeks every spring, then it gets tough again.if you hit it right it can be easy,if not you'll have the same look on your face as i do most of the time.good luck, red

Lol! I have had that look on my face a lot lately! Looking to change that this next week...I hope. Thanks for the input.

kentucky lake without a doubt. Comparing green river to kentucky lake is like comparing a jon boat to a ranger. Lol!!
Our trip to K-Lake has unfortunately been post-poned. My father-in-law and wife's uncle bailed out on me when the forcast on Tuesday called for rain. That's what ***** about not owning your own boat and having to really on others for theirs! If they bail out on ya, you are screwed! Oh well, I'm trying to talk them into going this next week. We'll see. I NEED A BOAT!!!!!

Kentucky Lake, and it is a no-brainer unless you see some strong wind in the forecast.
Green is on-fire, and has been each spring for the last few years. But KY just gives you so much more to do and a better chance at those 5+ pounders. Heck, last weekend I caught an 8 pound LM (won big fish with it) on Green, but given the choice between KY or Green for a day I pick KY every time with a weather caveat.
But don't let any rain scare you away from Green. The main lake is where we've been having our best luck and it doesn't muddy up easily. More importantly, I can fish anywhere I want on Green when there is a 20-30 MPH south wind. I can't say that about KY Lake. So, if it looks like the wind will blow me off of KY Lake I would choose Green.
