sauger by meldahl dam

My friend came back from fishing at meldahl the sauger bite is on big time, jigs and minnows. He said he fished down from the dam at the sand bars. Said there was alot of boats there and they where all catching. Still cannot get out still have 6 bulging disc in my back, should be out by next weekend a product of working construction for 28 years hope this thread will help somebody out.
