Never actually fished for them there but have caught my share on small cranks in bright colors and small spinnerbaits. Of course all these were caught pure luck, bass fishing. Alot of the guys this time of year head way up river to the mouth and fish for them as they will make that migration run up there in the spring. It's all I got King.

    Re: Nolin Walleye Advice

i have been fishing nolin for 25 years and the only way i catch them is also by accident bass fishing. i know there in there but i have never been able to pinpoint them anywhere in the lake. all i can tell you is that i know a guy that fished a sandbar that is actually the old brier creek beach right at the entrance of brier creek and he caught one that was 4 pounds and 2 more that were smaller. it was mid april when he caught them. i have never caught a walleye over 2 pds from there and i catch the most in the fall in the backs of creeks. good luck eye fishin. let us know how you do .

Mark that is how we have caught them as well in the past. i fished a tourney there last year in mid march and we caught bass all day long but not one of them measured up. we caught walleye , white bass , crappie, and a 12 pound flathead and about 50 undersized bass. ( go figure) w are gonna start up in the river and then hit all of the creek mouths. will report sat or sunday. thanks for the info guys.

BTW, for anyone who fishes the ohio the sauger havent got into ful swing yet i have put about three bags full of fillets in the freezer but those big girls have not showed up yet, also the whites and hybrids are getting in the mix as well.

Lots of folks fish at Broad Ford for them, but thats from the bank, on the river. Sorry, dont know about them on the lake, we were always after crappie.
    Good luck.
