I've been looking for a Hydro Stabilizer for my motor and recently purchased one. While preparing to put this on, I noticed my trim tab on the motor evidently broke off. I purchased a Stingray which came with a couple tabs. Do I need to replace the one on the motor or will the stabilizer tabs replace the functionality?
Thanks!

. Like bob46 said, it is a sacrificial anode, and is used for cutting down corrosion from electrolysis. It also helps to offset prop torque, so that it won't be hard to steer certain directions. If it was there to begin with, in my opinion, it serves a purpose.
