Anybody know where I can take an alum prop for repair around Louisville?
You can take it to any Marine Dealer most all of them either send them to TN or IN to be repaired. B&J Just ADD Water or open the phone book and pick one. Hope this helps
I took mine to Just Add Water Marine in Valley Station and where ever they sent it, they did a heck of a job. Looks like new!!!
Keep on chuckin'
I've got a boat for the first time and the prop on it looks a little beat up--edges dinged up where it looks like its hit several somethings. I imagine the prop is 10 years old (only because everything else is), so I am guessing that the dings are over 10 years of use. Is that something that can be repaired, or should I get a new one? In its current condition, it doesn't seem to have much of an effect on the boat, but then again, its all I know.
I would buy a new prop and have the old one fixed for a spare. You have a spare tire also I hope.I've got a boat for the first time and the prop on it looks a little beat up--edges dinged up where it looks like its hit several somethings. Tucker's Landing is definately the place to go. He does excellent work. I just picked up one he redid for me that had a good bit of damage and it looks brand new. I also had him add a little more cup for some more lift and it worked like a charm.
Ditto on Tucker's Landing. He does great work on skegs too. Stay away from BJ Marine.
I agree Tuckers Landing does an awsome job!!
Thanks fellas looks like I'll give Tuckers a call.
