    Fish for days like this.....

Chunknwind and myself fished Ky yesterday and had the day that we tell our grandkids about. Chunk lands a 6-4 for his biggest ever on the 2nd fish of the morning and continues to land 9 keepers and 22 fish for the day. I land 11 keepers with my biggest being 5-1 for the day and 63 fish. 85 fish between us and 4 limits with each individually having between 17-18 and best 5 together pushing 21. I know 21 on Ky is pretty average for any weekend tourney this time of year but not bad for a couple of Smallmouth fishermen on our first trip of the year down there. Now we will see what the next 3 trips bring over the next 4 weeks with the fishing getting better each day.

Calm down big boy. LMAO Save some of those for me for I only have, count them 19 days before I make my first journy to Kentucky Lake. I am getting jacked up and ready to go, I mean can things be any better.......Calipari at Kentucky, A boat back in my driveway, from what I hear porkchops that will satisfy the biggest mans appetite at Patti's in a few weeks , and the best fishing that I hope to come across in a few years, which doesn't say alot after fishing laurel the last few lol. It's starting to get exciting in this little holler in Jackson County, and the dcbasser is fixing to come out of the hills, if not by choice surely by the wife's little foot for I am absolutly driving her crazy with fishing fever. God bless this country and the sport I love so well . See you in a few weeks Elwood.

C rig, double bladed, pink buzzbait, 80lb braid main line, 6lb leader, 12" Manns jelly worm trailer fished in the flooded buck brush.

actually jigs, plastics, cranks, spinnerbaits, traps caught fish on humps, ledges, main and secondary points. Went looking for big momma and Chunk found one went looking all over for others

Sounds like one heck of a day! Trust me 21 lbs. is nowhere close to average as very few that fish the lake on a regular basis wouldn't be proud of a day like you had...congrats.

If you actually landed the fish that you hooked, instead of LDR (Long Distanced Released) the majority of them, then you would have a 63 fish day yourself. For those that don't know, George, hooked and fought 387 fish by himself on Friday and landed just 3. Heck of a hook and land ratio if you ask me. From now, in my boat at least, every time you actually hook and begin to fight the fish but it comes off it is called pulling a "GEO". This is now added to the standing other acronyms in my boat which are: If you hook and overplay a small fish to extreme measures, it is called a "ROB". If you are manning the net and take a stab at a 40lb Striper and a 5lb Smallmouth and instead of netting them you hit them both in the side and knock them both off the hook it is also called a "ROB". If you hook into a tree branch, then set the hook and start reeling it in, AND PLAY IT AROUND THE TROLLING MOTOR FOR FEAR OF GETTING IT IN THE TROLLING MOTOR AND BREAKING YOU OFF ALL THE WHILE THINKING IT IS AN ACTUAL FISH, it is called a "Cliff". Come on boys, I can take it, let me have it, tell me what a Elnut is called because I am sure you have a few.
