Anyone know the water temp at Barren?

Looking to go down within the next few days, was curious about the water temps & water level if anyone has been there lately.

I was there last Saturday & it was 55- 58 degrees. Main lake is clear, creeks were muddy & water was about 10 feet over winter pool.

I was down last saturday as well...we found stained water on the main lake and actually about the same in the creeks...56-58degree water everywere

water level will be at or darn close to summer pool this weekend. As far as color I couldn't tell you first hand but, I have heard that the upper end is very clear, Walnut creek muddy, main lake is cloudy to murky, backs of most creeks are clearing.

Water temp may have well taken a nose dive. I know it did on the creek that I fish here in Franklin (about 25 miles away). Sunday afternoon water temps were 58.9. 48 hours later Tuesday afternoon it had dropped to 50.2.

Boys yesterday I went down 31E and Skagges looked clear, Peters had a little stain, and the river looked like mud. It should be good by this weekend.

My parents went for a drive yesterday afternoon to the lake. They reported that the mudline was at the state park ramp. Everything upstream was muddy and downstream was stained. Petercreek was also stained.
