A couple years back I caught a 1Lb 14oz crappie during a bass tournament. It was bigger than any bass in the tournament including the ones I had swimming around in my well.
Geez that some crappie...I have been there 3 times in a canoe and am yet to hook up to anything. Tried crappie, bass, bluegill, just no luck. My roommate still has bragging rights on me in that lake so let us know how it goes I owe him one.
well we got there and there was only one other boat on the water and they had caught 3 crappie, they ended up giving them to us, and were caught nothing,we ended up letting the 3 crappie go we only fished a little over a hour, had a few bights, it was nice to be on the water though, water was pretty warm, water was pretty warm, didnt get temps though, water color was actually decent, well thats all i can say, hope to catch one another day, see yall
Wilgreen is a useless lake, other than retaining water.![]()
ive had my days on wilgreen, last year i was there and a guy i know caught 16 using sweet beavers, biggest almost 6 and another guy caught one a little over 5, people may say wilgreen is useless but there are big bass in this lake, but i will agree on that it is a highley pressured lake, way to many tournaments, most of the fish in the lake are swimming around up by the marina cause thats were they all get released......
