Re: Best four hours this year!

Find a way to get on the list and hold tight for about 6 or 7 years. That's was I did and finally got the call last year. Don, I talked to Jon last night and he ended up with 5. Jon and I have been fishing together for 20+ years.

Buzzking, I've had some good days on 2 this time of year. I hear there have been some 6 and 7s caught out of that place. I think I've caught them up to 4 or so. I've also had some crazy crappie days out there. Went out there one day in April many moons ago and caught over 100 on a smoke grub. Only about 12 were keeper though.

Did he get any good ones? We talked before he hit the water but I never called to see how he did. Those Crappie in the bubble line can be pretty fun.

In the 2 years I lived on the 2 lakes there by the plant we had 1 legit 7+, roughly 5-10 6+, and way too many 5+ to count. The best days were the sunny days in feb. when the Jerkbait would get right. You could catch 50 and never move the boat, honest to god.

It's $150 per year after the first year. The first year is your biggest hit but you save that in gas.

I live about 5 minutes from the lake. We got in by finding a few guys who could sponsor us. The trick was finding a few who haven't used or promised their (2) a year sponsor quota. Most guys end up with family, extended family, close friends, fishing buddies, friends friends and others using their quotas up for years.
We usually have our (2) spoken for the year before!

Hey buddy I checked today but they have the list down as they are getting the new member lists together. After they get the open slot filled they will post the updated list. I'll let you know.

Re: Best four hours this year!

Was out there Saturday afternoon with my son. We were goofing off more than fishing (that's kind of what happens with a 4 yr old...). Anyway, there 2 guys putting their boat on the trailer and I asked how they did. They said they caught a few bass up to 4 pounds on jerkbaits, spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. Then they told me they caught a monster hybrid. They proceeded to pull out a digital camera and show me some pics. WOW!!!! This fish looked to be 14" tall and they said it was 5-6" across the belly. I would bet my next paycheck it was every bit of 12 pounds if not bigger!

Jabbo has always told me there are hybrids in there but I've never believed him. I guess he's not that big of a liar after all.
