Thanks for the report! Is the bacon creek ramp open/ usable?

Was at Nolin River this morning (headwaters of Nolin Lake). Water is extremely muddy. I mean red mud. Lure disappears about as soon as it hits the water. They apparently got a whole lot of rain down there last Thursday. I thought it would have cleared up some by now. The water is really moving through the lake too. Wax was just about as bad. From what I hear their is a lot more rain headed this way too. Don't waste your time in that part of the lake for a few days. The rain that is coming is going to make things worse. The lake is rising fast, about 2 feet per day. Down close to the dam the water may be in better shape. Just wondering what some of the other lakes are looking like. Would appreciate any information about water conditions at other lakes.

I was at Broad Ford. Did not go to Bacon Creek. I would guess that the river is high enough now to launch a boat at Bacon Creek. It is only about 6 to 8 feet below summer pool and rising fast. The current may be pretty fast at Bacon Creek which will affect launching and loading a boat. I have never launched my boat there but would like to later in the year when the water is up to summer pool. I mainly fish in the river from the bank this time of year. Will fish the lake later in the year.
Thanks, Bacon is poorly maintained this time of the year. It seems like if the water is high enough, the ramp is covered in a foot of mud and silt. Good ramp when usable.
