Some Help If Possible

Just came into possession of a large tackle box full of cranks, spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. The spinnerbaits and buzzbaits had on them the old rubber skirts which over a period of time has melted onto the tacklebox trays. I managed to seperate the baits from each other and take off the old skirts however I do not know what to use in the tacklebox to remove the remains of the rubber skirts without ruining the tacklebox trays. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

Use some kind of citrus cleaner first. Then wash it with mild soap and water. Try to use some kind of perfume-less soap so that all your lures don't smell like the soap or the citrus cleaner. 3m makes some great stuff -- I use it to clean all my reels before I grease and oil them. Hope this helps.

Try Goo Gone. A lil dab will do ya. It is a citrus-type cleaner. As mentioned by Shimano4Life, you should follow-up by washing thoroughly with warm water and unscented soap to get rid of the citrus smell.

Another tip that might help. I used one of those mister clean magic erassers to clean up some old cranks I had that got rusty. It made them look brand new couldnt belive it.

The Goo Gone did the trick. Got the bottle with the gel version, sprayed the trays as well as inside the Possum Belly tackle box and let it sit overnight. Today I took a (cheap) bristle paint brush and trimmed it down to where the bristles would have some strength and used it to loosen what I could not get out by hand, then washed the tacklebox down with soap and water and it looks almost like new. before i went thru any of that trouble i would go to walmart and buy a new spinnerbait box.....they are less than 5 dollars and i am sure a bottle of any of the cleaner yall are talking about would be just as expensive.... but thats what i would do... i usually switch all my boxes every 2 or three years cause i like them to be where i can see into them....

Definately buy a new box. Buy the time u bought the cleaner, eraser or whatever the tool. It's just easier to buy a new one.
