If you are going to get a higher end rod - I would look for one with the best warrantee. Shimano cumara and Carrot Stix have the lifetime over the counter - just trade it out if you break it. Loomis, you will have to pay a fee - but for their upper end models, it is well worth it.
Personally I like all three of those brands, and wouldn't hesitate buying any of the three.
I like a medium action for my spinning set-ups - I only use them for light weight or finesse stuff here.
Loomis tend to be somewhat stiff of an action compared to most, and Carrot Stix and Shimano's (especially cumara) seem to be a little more light than the weight listed.
I will never buy another rod under 7 feet. I like the 7 foot for all around use. You can throw lighter, smaller baits better, and they seem to have a little more feel, as well as little better action in the tip when playing a fish. The only rods I have shorter than 7 is for spinner baits, top-water walkers, and for jerkbaits - and I don't use spinning gear on those.
