    Re: How to catch carp?

We would always catch them on the river using wheatie balls w/ vanilla mixed in, fishsed on a treble hook. Any kind of dough ball w/ something sweet mixed in! And like KneeGrow said, hang on cause its a blast. Also, they will pretty much hook themselves after biting for awhile. Just be patient and wait for them to run w/ it!

    Re: How to catch carp?

There's a guy on another forum I visit that's trying to catch them on 2lb test for the record or something. He says he just uses white bread, balled up around a hook. No sinker, no float, just let it float on the water. I haven't tried it, but he swears by it.

you might trying baiting an area and then going back later. you can use corn or just make make balls with white bread. use about a half a loaf of bread or a can of corn. then go back in a couple of hours and use the same as bait.
