you might trying baiting an area and then going back later. you can use corn or just make make balls with white bread. use about a half a loaf of bread or a can of corn. then go back in a couple of hours and use the same as bait.

There's a guy on another forum I visit that's trying to catch them on 2lb test for the record or something. He says he just uses white bread, balled up around a hook. No sinker, no float, just let it float on the water. I haven't tried it, but he swears by it.

What's the best time of year to catch them? Spring? Seems like that's when we blindly caught a few and the fight is tremendous!
