There is a good video on youtube that shows you how to change the impeller. I followed it and had no problems. It is a bit easier with two people.

I got my impellar changed by a certified Merc mechanic last year and he charged me $116. Give the man a "c-note" and call it even.

i'll be glad to change out anyone's impeller for $100 plus materials. now of course, you'll need to sign a waiver of responsibility just in case something goes wrong.
