I Fished in Caney creek last Saturday. Temps ranged from 55-62 in the creek. The warmest being on the shallower banks. I know www.lakecumberland.com posts temperatures on the home page and it is updated fairly often.

I was on Cumberland today...(Thursday). I was in Fishing Creek...the water temps ranged from about 55-59...in some of the shallows I saw a flash of 60.

I fished for crappie and bass. First thing I busted two largemouth with spinnerbait...chartreuse with a dab of red. Those fish were on the wood. Crappie was tough...no bites on minnows...those catching were using tube jigs...chartreuse/red...must use bright colors water is stained. After lunch...saw no more action.

    Good luck if you go!

William how stained? I have a trip planned for Monday and with this rain today/tonight I may reschedule it. It is probably going to get worse in terms of water clarity, wouldn't you say?

Yes I would say it would mix things up pretty well. It had a dark green tinge to it yesterday...I would say it will go to brown/chocolate milk after the rain...then it gets real tough. If you go stay with bright colors...gold blades on spinners...mainly chartreuse colors...good luck. Cumberland is big enough you should find some decent water somewhere...you will just have to search for it.
