    Weekend Advice...

I have had a boat for over a month now but the weather and the timing have only allowed me to use it once. I realize that there is a monsoon coming tomorrow so I am resorting to bank fishing but I gotta get this boat out this weekend, most likely on Sunday. I live in Louisville and would be willing to drive to Rough, Taylorsville, Guist, maybe Green or any lake within that distance. Where would you go if you had to choose one of those lakes with the rain that were about to get? I realize the water will likely get muddy and the bite may turn off but I need to run this boat and would love to catch a fish or two. Thanks for any advice. I hate to keep this boat in my garage any longer I'm tired of polishing it.

If you just want to run her and maybe a few bites, T-ville 'cause it's closer but I don't know how much junk might be in there either.

With the rain coming, Nolin may stay a little less muddy.

    Good luck

Of the lakes you just mentioned I would go to Green. Green has been on fire for bass this spring, on fire! Taylorsville is a mudhole dump save your time and gas, just my two cents.

Out of the lakes you mentioned I would go to Green whether it's been any good or not. The reports say Green has been good but you know how reports go, a report is a report...You can't use Friday's report and expect the same success on Saturday.

I talked with some fellas last weekend fishing a sizable tourney at a different lake but their home lake if you will is Green. They told me they haven't seen a spring on Green like this one in quite a few years. The tournaments held there over the last several weeks, if you don't have over 15 to 16lb don't even weigh in for fear of embarrassing yourself. One set of fellas told me they had 22lb and change before noon and then went hunting for BIGGER fish, lol. Too many saying it Green is on FIRE!

It doesn't really matter as long as its water. If you are anything like me, for the first several trips with the new boat fishing is secondary and boating is first. A fish would be an added bonus but its more about running the boat. Or at least it was for me.

Also, that is just part of the new boat curse. The weather never cooperates for the first six months after you get it
