Use a pro model Spot remover shakey head - works great!!!!!!!
Use the big 6" model and carolin rig it.
what water conditions are these presentations good for?
Very few plastics you buy actually float. Charmers are the only plastics line I personally have fished with that will keep a 3/0 hook on top of the water while setting still. Back to the Dinger. I have caught a ton of fish using a Dinger on a carolina rig. That's about the only way I fish them. I don't have the patients to fish them wacky style. On the carolina rig, I fish whatever plastics the fish will bite. I have heard of a lot of people using a Zoom Super Fluke and having good luck doing so.
I have had good luck fishing the 5in. Dinger on a shakey head and Texas rigged. The Texas rig works really well in grass.
I fish them quite a bit. The only time I T-rig them is when I am fishing them near brush or grass - they just don't get hung near as easy. 90% of the time I will fish them wacky. I use the 0-rings, and a small circle finesse hook. I basically cast them out, and let them sink. I will let them sit still on the bottom for a bit, and then stroke it up a few feet and let it fall again. Most of the time they will hit it on the slow fall, but every once in a while they will take it off the bottom.
They are good any time of the year in the right spots. I prefer them in the spring when fish are up shallow. But have had good luck on them in the middle of summer too. I have already caught one 7 pounder this year on them. I think it is hard to beat the original senko's, but have been using the netbait salt-licks some this year too.
I like to fish them weightless and rigged Texas style. I use a 3/0 gammy. I toss them SHALLOW and twitch it
I guess I should have said weightless on my T-rig too.
