    Back to basketball

Boys I gotta say Ky basketball may be the bomb next year. Cousins is off the charts good and a couple of other recruits coming with Cal are gonna be awesome to. That coupled with what UK already had in place providing Meeks and Patterson stay, WOW. Go from Ugly duckling to top swan on the pond quickly. I see a sweet sixteen tourny run a very real expectation and would not rule out an elite 8 run by any means.

Louisvile will again be a solid team. Very deep in the backcourt with guard play running deep and talent level high. I am concerned about the front court. Down low we are shallow, how good will Buckles, and VanTreese be and can Reggie Delk get more positive minutes. Swopshire needs to put on pounds at least 20 to be effective and Samuels needs to be ALOT stronger with the ball down low. How good can Jennings become, certainly has alot of potential.

Good luck to both camps it should prove to be a interesting season ahead. Notice how I skipped football all together, lol. As long as Krudthorpe is at Louisville there is NO future, the man is useless.

No your not you are just a real fan and an eternal optimist. I will support no matter what, but I just don't see this goober turning it around, I just can't see it.

Tim. on another note, how did the Ville recruits look to ya the other night at the classic. Is Buckles going to be a contributer automatically or is it gonna take a bit. Siva reminds me of Chris Paul, that kid is gonna be off the chart good. What about VanTreese, we are hurting a bit in the paint....

    Re: Back to basketball

Last Saturday I ran the PapaJohn's 10 miler that ended in the stadium. My wife also ran this, and she has never run farther than a 5K (3.2 miles). I was a little nervous so I wanted to go back towards the finish line after I was done to make sure she was ok. The race officials were on me like stink on shinola the instant I stepped foot on the field. There were some kids that got loose around the 50 yard line and I thought somebody was going to snipe them. I looked at the guy and said "whaddya mean can't they still go 3-8 with a divet or two on the field" Sheesh.

I'm ready for college football. Basketball is already a distant memory until this December!

as a wildcat fan i am trying not to get to pumped up about the possibilities next season, but its goin to be hard with our new coach and the players that may be coming in and the ones that are already wildcats. as far as the cards go, i think they will be enjoying another fantastic season next year. alot of talent coming in and like the cats in my opinion, alot of talent that has yet to be seen from some those that are already there. it will be good to see the cats having fun and not afraid to mess up and get benched. im also READY FOR SOME WILDCAT FOOTBALL!!!! its been fun watching them get better and succeed under Coach Brooks.

I really like Brooks, I liked him before he started winning games. He runs a quality program.

    Re: Back to basketball

I agree that he runs a quality program, but more important he is a quality person outside of coaching. Some co-workers of mine took a uk blanket that was being raffled at work for Relay for Life to see if he would autograph it and being the class act that he is, signed it and also posed with them for a picture with the blanket. im not sure if he knew they were coming or if they just showed up but either way it was very kind of him to take the time to do that for our work and to help us support relay for life.
