There is a primitive ramp at Kings bridge. Sort of hard to tell someone how to get there but you should be able to bring it up on Google earth.
Now for the fishing. I was from Walls to above Kings today and all we managed were dinks too. Best fish was a 15 inch white bass. That is the area I would send you to as the water is pretty shallow and the channel is easy to follow. Be forwarned,,,,there are trees everywhere. You definately need a map.
If you are looking for a motel the closest is Lanes in West Baden. There are also lots of cabins around the lake.
Crappies and bass would be the two species I would target right now. Good luck.
If ya put in at walls and run up river you will run into kings bridge. As far as gettin to the ramp. Take Brownstown road north out od English and it will run you right into it. I thnk Brownstown turns into ethyl road at some point. brownstown road is the 1st rd on the right as soon as you cross hwy 37 in English. Its concidered upper walls and youngs creek. hope this helps.
