We had some good blow-ups on Beshears today on frogs in the lilly pads. Not too active yet, but not far off there.

Had 5 blow ups today on the local lake but only managed to land 2 of them. Just seemed to be swiping at them and not really suckin the bait in

All mine hit an AC Shiner. Awesome topwater bait. I have caught so many bass in the spring on them when the topwater bite gets hot. Really love twitchin them over top a big females nest.

    Re: top water

Search AC Shiner and check out there website. There handmade balsa lures made in Okeana, Ohio. They are dynamite in the spring on spawning bass. I use the 375 and 475 mostly sunfish. Cast on a bed and just give the lure a little twitch here and there and the bass just cant stand it. Catches big bass to. Only thing I recommend is changing out the hooks since the ones they put on are not that strong.

There a little high but if they will put a fish on the line that will be alright
I'll going to try them out, and thanks for the tip on how to fish them. A lurer only as good as the fisherman on the other end. I'll learning
