West wind gusting to about 30, monsters blowing straight into the LBL side

I'm headed down tomorrow night and I see Friday's forecast is for 17mph winds from SSW. Should I avoid the lbl side of KY? I'll be fishing out of a 17ft fish and ski. Would Barkley be better? Thanks
