Re: Can`t sink a Ranger? I believe it!!

I believe Rangers are unsinkable in the 1970's Forrest Wood went out in a ranger and took a chainsaw to the bow and stern of the boat and cut them in two.there was alot of water in the interior of the boat of course but the foam floatation kept the boat from completly sinking.

Re: Can`t sink a Ranger? I believe it!!

I have had my Ranger 361 for 12 years, I had one livewell pump to break off inside of the transom one night while fishing, I did notice that it was slow to plane off but there were three of us in the boat so I did not think too much of it until I felt water spashing out of the floor drains when we ran across boat wakes. I know there are are lot of good boats available now but when I do trade it will be a choice of which Ranger not which boat. I bought my first Ranger 350 in 1988, it is hard to change from what has worked for the last 21 years.

I was in a Ranger 362V with no plug and had water above my toes while sitting in the driver seat. Just curious....
I was thinking that was going to be the same thing that would have happen to me but there was no water up in the floor at all. I believe I could have fish all night and never touch the bilge pump and there would be only a gallon or two of water maybe in the boat by morning. Sure suprise me. But you can make sure I will be putting the plug in the next time, I`m not taking any unnecessary changes.
