    Re: banjo minnow

Man, oh man, banjo minnow, that takes me back. My older brother ordered them and the helicopter lures when they first came out, we where so excited to finally get to try them. The bass in the flooded trees at Cave Run where just crushin em' but, we couldn't hook up for nothin' throwin those things, crazy to watch fish come out from under trees right next to the boat to hit though.

    Alright already SmlJaw and DJD!!
I am only half ashamed to admit that they work. The other half of the time I am glad because my partner can wear me out with them.
We fished a tournament at Beaver a couple years ago. I think DJD won that one. only a few fish were weighed. With everyone whining about how it was tough and the fish had lock jaw.. We caught about 50 that day. No good ones. I think we had 1 keeper but that was it.
I am like you Scott.. An infomercial doesn't equate to that lure ending up in my box but fellas..... These things can kick butt!!
I think every lure has it's time and place and these are no different. But. when the fish are eating shad and a fluke will catch them... This will catch twice-3 times as many.. It has been proven to me over and again. My partner bought be some and I have a whole stash in my boat. I'll not be caught with out them in a tournament. Laugh all you want but these can wear'em out when they want something a little different.

Jabbo's real secret fishing tool is his orange Rebel Black Star. OK, the proverbial cat is out of the bag now for sure! Buy 'em if you can find 'em, boys and girls.

Yeah, the Rebel Blackstar.... That takes me back to the good ole days at Cave Run in the back of Scott creek... I seem to remember that it produced!!. I also seem to remember that Smljaw bought 4 or 5 of these baits in black orange and green while I had only the one orange..
I think Smljaw still has a bunch that have never caught fish if anyone wants to purchase them..
Every Lure has it's time and place.. I am just better than him (SMLJAW) at determining that time and place!
