Anyone know the water conditions at Nolin in the vicinity of Wax upstream to the headwater areas upstream from Sportsman's Paradise (Temp, Water Clarity, debris in the water, etc.)? Thanks!
I was there yesterday, temps were mid 60's early and got warmer as the day went on. Water was stained but not muddy, maybe 6-8 inches visibility. Debris wasn't to bad, the bends had the most as usual but it was pretty easy to avoid. Their pulling it pretty hard and the fish were NOT cooperating. We talked to a BUNCH of boats and no one was catching any numbers of bigger fish. We caught several fish but no keepers. We caught them all over the water column. The only fish we graphed on the bottom were 25' deep. I couldn't believe that. Everything else was suspended with how they were pulling it.
My dad went this morning and said they dropped the water 2 feet. He only caught one keeper Catfish. They were fishing for Crappie. They put in at Iberia. Talked to several people who hadn't caught anything.
