    Re: Nolin, Rough or Green?

Clint i commend you on posting the way you do....youll help a lot of people catch fish...and you can obviously catch em yourself...

Southern i just reread my post and realized i sounded rather jerkish....i wasn't aiming to be....and i apologize....but i was that boat sitting over there last night....we all fish because we love it....cashing a check in a tournament is nice and all but the thrill of walking to the scales with a big bag is what does it for me.....i fish for the thrill of setting the hook and the sow not even budging....i fish to be out on the water and get away from the real world for awhile....i fish because it's my favorite thing to do....or maybe second favorite....but 90% of the guys on the lake fish for the same reason you do...just because we fish tournaments doesn't make us any different....trust me if you fish the tournaments i do you're not doing it to get rich...you're doing it for the competition....

The fire was quenched today. Don't know if the change in weather shut them down or what, but Green was really slow. We put one keeper smallmouth in the boat.

Fished every kind of bait in the boat. The one keeper came off of a crankbait. Had a few other bites on spider jigs. Fished from Butler creek all the way back to the bridge in Robinson creek.

No one we talked to was catching anything either.

Water is stained and temps ranged from 58-65 degrees. The warmest water is way up Robinson Creek.

Same here, I had only 1 fish Friday. Thursday I had 12 keepers to the boat in the 1st 2 1/2 hours, landed 8 lost 4. I ended up boating 10 keepers. I could do no wrong Thursday, but Friday was mind boggling. Fish are more interested now in spawning than feeding.

Was out on the water again today from around 5 till dark....fished the "magic" bank and landed about a 3lb brown fish....had another 3lb largehead and lost a biggun....its amazing how fast that lake went from being on fire to dead cold so quick
