Went fisihing Friday night and (hate to say it) but I left my plug out of my Ranger boat. After putting in we went to the other side of the lake and the bilge pump kicked in and I realized that I had not put the plug in. I started up and headed for the dock and by the time I got across the lake the pump had quit. After it quit I was really kind of puzzled about it. I begin to think may be it was water left in the boat from washing it just could not figure it out. After sitting there for a little bit I would start the pump manually and water would come out for about 20 seconds and quit. Had me puzzled but decided to fish and from time to time I would start the pump and same thing water would come out for about 20 seconds and that was it. Fish for about 4 to 5 hours and when we got out we check the plug to see what was going on and hard to believe but the plug was completley out. Now I know what they are talking about when they say you can`t sink a Ranger. But I still do not understand why the boat did not take on more water.
