Just got back from Cumberland. I primarily fished Indian (Middle Fork) and the main lake points in that area. Did really well on the 23rd with a mixed bag of Ky's and SMBs- no real size to any of them, but fun nonetheless. Gizz3 was the big producer. I worked a spinner bait and a jig for the majority of the day, then switched over to the crank at around dusk. I did not see any fish in the very backs of the creeks yet. Yesterday (24th) the wind was kicking up pretty good and made it hard to stay on one spot for more than a cast or two. I have a tiller handle trolling motor which makes fishing in the wind, by yourself, **** near impossible. Cast, adjust trolling motor, reel a little, re-adjust rolling motor, hook a fish, re-adjust trolling motor, etc, etc.
Water conditions: Avg temp: 57 degrees, clarity/visibility 4 feet +/-. A lot of the points got muddled up with the wind blowing yesterday. An all-around good time and I can't believe I've got a sunburn in April!
