Old Hickory

I will be going to old Hickory in two weeks. Never been there before. Can anyone tell me what to expect the second week of May? What transition are the Bass in? Spawn or Post Spawn? Thanks

old hickory is a fun lake to fish, i was out for the first time this weekend and the bass were spotty. caught a few on spinnerbaits around wood and a few around the grass. i am not that great of a bass fisherman but i would say they should really start turning on pretty soon.

I live down the road from OH here in hendersonville,we have had SO much rain here the fishing is so-so for bass,Great for catfishing.With Tuesday and thursday being are only Dry days in this weeks forecast,I would be carefull of the floating debris in the lake right now..I'll post again wed and let you know how its going,hopefully the lake will clear a bit..

Thanks for the info. I was down sunday and had 2 15inches and about 10 short. Fished for about 5 hours. First time I had ever been on the lake. Alot of debris floating and was starting to get muddy. Put in at Flippers and went towards the dam, fished the first large bay on the right. Stayed in there all day.
