First off thank you guys for your knowledge and help.
I have a 10 ft john boat that I power with a 42lb trolling motor (12V)
What angle and depth should I have the trolling motor at for maximum efficiency? for maximum speed?
I can adjust the angle and depth but I haven't been able to figure out what is best.
Thanks!

I installed a 45" shaft foot control trolling motor 55# on my 1448 Grizzly and it's kinda tall. I got such a good deal on it that I'll just deal with the extra length for now. I have found that as long as your not churning the surface your ok. I had to pick a happy medium of too deep with the motor for less shaft above the water or just under the surface with alot of shaft above. I found it and it's sweet!
