Pull it up on your phone and BAM... instant fishing reports. Post to your Fishin.com friends and share a little info or a photo of a big fish.

This is just one of many applications. A few more could be instant coupons at BPS or the specials from your favorite restaurant. Japan has been doing this for some time now.
I suppose another variation would be a twitter stream on the site in reverse of what I suggested above.

In other words, the site is pulling twitter feeds from all users who want to "tweet" and on Saturday mornings, we could all live vicariously through the twitter feed from various posters describing how they just landed a big one or what they are throwing at the moment, etc.
