    Pacquaio vs. Hatton (boxing)

Anybody going to watch this fight on Saturday? Who do you like?

I will take Manny by late round stoppage. Hatton is to easy to hit and will take too many punches. If Manny had enough power to stop a heavier Oscar DeLahoya, I just don't see how a 140 pound Hatton can take it. Should be an exciting fight though.

You got it about right, unless Hatton lands a lucky bomb, he's going down in a heap.

Man I can't watch boxing anymore without expecting someone to do a Superman Punch, a take down, passing guard and some ground and pound with vicious elbows to dominate the guy into submission! Blood, blood blood broken arms and noses!!! The Mixed Martial Arts has ruined me on boxing.

I do love the UFC now. I wish Chuck could get back but I think age has now become a factor. I'd give a hundred dollars to see him bust a bone in Quinten Rampage's face on a knock out.

MMA is hard for me to follow, especially when they get to rolling around on the ground. I just have a hard time understanding it. That being said, it is VERY POPULAR.

I always look at it this way (and believe me, my opinion is very biased in favor of boxing), to me boxing is more like a tactical sport with a lot of athleticsim and MMA is a pure out fight with some serious badass dudes that you don't want any part of.

While we are on the subject of MMA and boxing, here is one of my favorite quotes from a true boxing warrior Benard Hopkins. Hopkins was on the jim Rome show one day a few years ago and was asked by Rome how he would do against an MMA fighter. Hopkins replied: "Rome, I haven't fought like that since I was in prison!"

Oscar didn't have a whole lot for Manny in that fight. He might have looked a lot more powerful than he actually was. Still would have dominated him though. With that said I'll take Manny in one of the later rounds or by decision.

    Tim,
Didn't he say in prison when he dropped the soap? J/K

I have watched MMA for years now and during that time I have seen some great boxing. Granted not as good as some of the great boxers but good none the less. I can understand and respect your attraction to boxing since you boxed. Competing in either sport would leave me in hospital! Hats off to ya man!!

Yeah those Heavyweights and Light Heavyweights look like giants but my favorite are the lightweights. They move so fast! I love it and watch it everytime it's on. I always catch the Ultimate Fighter on Wednesday nights. I love the theme song and wish I could find it to load it on my IPOD.

Yea I like all the weight classes, and really like the middle weight guys like Matt Hughes, that is one bad dude. I bet he would kick the crap out of almost 90% of normal guys three time his size. Man he's tough for sure!
And what about BJ Penn the guy doesn't look tough at all, but man is he ever, wow.

DJD, please don't misunderstand my love of boxing as a disrespect for mma, because that is not what I am trying to say. I respect those guys, it is just difficult for me to get into.

In July of 2007 when I moved into my house, I had free tickets to MMA in Shepherdsville. My wife needed my truck so I actually drove a 26 foot UHaul to the fights (about a mile from my house). As I was leaving I cut a corner to sharp and hit a car doing some pretty good damage. I went and found the police and they located the owner of the car....he was an mma fighter from Lexington who had fought on the card earlier. Yea me LOL!

Manny was dang impressive last night. That was as dominating a performance as you could have asked for. I also liked it because it put Floyd Mayweather Sr. in his place and Freddy Roach is still one of the best trainers in the business.

Now on to next year's superfight after Floyd Jr. takes care of business in November, we have to see Manny and him fight.
