No puck luck

The puck transducer for my Humminbird Wideeye is looking wierd. On the top of the puck, I see clear "gooh". Looks like rubber cement. And the top of teh puck is lifting up, I can slightly slide it around.

So what happens if that top goes bye bye, does puck still work with no top?

I honestly have no clue , but I hear that they have excellent customer service, "I" would call them , maybe try to ask a tech , doesn't sound too good though from how you describe it
