I bought a 1988 19' Laser bass boat today. It's a solid boat and has been taken care of as far as I can tell. A couple of things that I noticed about the boat was that it had tin compartment lids. Don't know if this was factory or if they were replaced at some point in time. I know some fiberglass boats done this to reduce wieght and it would make sense considering Laser racing background. Also this boat came from the factory with only one livewell, located in the center of the back deck behind the middle seat. Although all of the storage compartments are water tight with a drain plug in the bottom. Would it be posible to convert one of them into a livewell? I was thinking of plumbing the one on the port (left) side of the factory livewell. I think it will work but not sure.
I'm also having alttle trouble trying to find room to put three batteries in the boat. Has built in battery mount locations (one on each side of the boat behind the 33 gal gas tank). Any suggestions would be helpful.
Sorry for the long post, just excited about my new toy and looking forward to getting it ready to go fishing.
