I have a Lowrance X-17 combp GPS Fishfinder. It has the dual frequancy transducer.
My problem is that it rarely reads the depth. It will flash anywhere from 0.0 to 0.9 and that is about it. Ocassionally, after stopping for awhile, it will begin reading the depth and show bottom detail, but as soon as I start moving, it stops reading anything. I have had this 2 years with no issues until now. I have adjusted the transducer but have not had any success with the unit reading any better.
Any suggestions?

Sounds to me like a transducer problem. If you've adjusted the transducer angle to make sure it's level, could be a short in the cable if you've hit it on something. Is it a shoot-through mount or transom mount?
