IFD Tournament...May 21, 2009

Guys, just wanted to announce the IFD Bass Tournament. We are hosting a large scale tournament on Geist Reservoir. The tournament will be held on Thursday May 21,2009.
The only criteria for eligibility is that at least one of your team members must be a firefighter/paramedic or EMT.

All proceeds for this event will go directly to the IFD Fallen Firefighters Bereavement Fund. This fund is used to support families of firefighters/emergency responders that lose their life in the line of duty. It is a fund that we use all too often.

Lastly, for those that might be coming from out of town. May 22 is Carb Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Last practice and lots of events for the Indy 500.

I am interested in helping you guys out but I guess I am not eligible to fish. Always eager to help a group like yourselves but not sure why you didn't open it up to the public, might make a little more money for the cause that way.

Hi Guys..thanks for the replies. I know it may have meant more entries to open it up, but then we lose that "firefighter" feel. We do alot of things as a group/brotherhood and this is just one more. To be honest, we opened it up a bit by allowing one of the team members to be a civilian.
If anyone is interested in fishing but doesn't know an emergency responder, I can probably hook you up with one when we get a little closer.

Ferb55, is this for paid firefighters only? I am a volunteer and would be interested. Can you give anymore details?
