Fish the grass lines on humps and rip rap early since the shad spawn will be in FULL SWING when you're there. Then after the sun gets up, just crank humps and drops with rock. Swimbait in there for occasional big fish. Just remember this, as strong as the bite is going to be down there next week if you aren't catching at least 5 fish an hour you are doing something wrong or in the wrong place. We were down there at the end of March and had a field day. Nearly all fish came on T-rigged lizards. We used to fish C-rigs a lot, but the last few years, the T-rig was just more effective. I am looking forward to a good topwater bite. Only caught a couple or three last time.
