    irs.gov/individuals

FYI...I know we talked about this before but go to this website www.irs.gov/individuals and fill in the blanks for the irs withholding calculator. It might save you some headache next year. I'm going to do it myself this weekend because I don't need a huge tax bill next year, just a little one will do me fine.

Don, that is a good idea. I have recieved a couple of emals with references to articles saying that many tax-payers are going to be in for a rude shock next year when they file their taxes. Yes, there is going to be a "tax cut" but many people are going to have too little withheld from their income or retired pay and will end up owing more in the long run. The IRS tax withholding tables never have and don't now allow for two incomes. I have always had to claim Single with Zero dependents and still have extra taken out in order to just break even at tax time. I have already changed my withholding back to what I had taken out before the "tax cut" and am having some extra taken out. After I prepare my taxes next year, I can always readjust if I am getting too much back. I prefer to owe A LITTLE and use my own money instead of letting the goverment use it interest free.
