I have a story for you. Yesterday I fished at Patoka. I was in one of the feeder creeks in Painters Creek throwing a spinnerbait. A fish hit it, I set the hook. All of a sudden the line snapped. From the looks of it, I was lazy and didn't retie. My fault. A lost fish was the punishment. Anyway I was tieing on another sb and could hear the fish behind me jumping out of the water trying to throw my sb. I could hear the blades clacking together. I fished that spot and left. I came back a good hour later. Low and behold that same fish in the same spot was still jumping trying to throw that white sb. It was the funniest thing I had ever seen. It was a long hour before I came back. The same fish with my sb still stuck in his mouth. I hung around for a few minutes with net in hand to net him and get my bait back. A bait and fish lost.![]()
A bitter sweet moment for you.
