Thinking bout going fishing tonight at laurel. Anyone know the water conditions?
No1 ???? I dont know about this board anymore... I always post everytime i get a chance , but seems like everyone wants to know and doesnt want to give anymore. Im not talking about everyone because some of you all go to great extremes to give a report or anwser to something. Thanks to those people.
Water was over the spillway Tues night/Wed AM they have been dropping it FAST heard they dropped it another foot yesterday alone! With all the rain, it's up, not as clear (as of Wed) but I don't see fishing it as a problem, getting them to bite though is anyone's guess!![]()
Thanks for the reply. Will post a report when I get home sunday.
Will be looking forward to the report, have fun, hope you catch a bunch and stay safe, watch for floating debris is my "best advice", I don't think it is as bad as LC , but suspect there are some large debris around in spots..
I will for sure watch for debris. I havent been nightfishing this year so far and I have a tournament next weekend on laurel so I wanted to see what they are doing. I figure the largemouth are still on the beds with the water temp being around 70 but the smallmouth should be done and feeding back up. Will post what I can when i get back.
We went last night, fished until about 4 AM only caught one catfish about 3 lbs (were walleye fishing LOL) water wasn't as bad as I thought plenty of smaller debris around the Rodger's creek area, water temps were 70.6* at about 4:00 PM and dropped to 69* when we left. Water was "stained" but not muddy IMO
Cold front coming through didn't help us at all no doubt, but it sure was a nice night (temps notwithstanding) to be on the lake with the family, full moon was great!
