Anybody ever hear this sound before

yep last year my mom called me at 230 am took me 20 mins to get there she was scared s%#$less she said it sounded like some lady screaming bloody murder i thought she had finaliy lost it and was going to have to take her to the nut house just as i started making fun of her i could not run for the door fast enough we ask around about it and everone told us it was a bob cat but now after a year that sums it up that what it was

We have several foxes on Steamboat Rd. One has recently made a den under the culvert running under my driveway and I have been listening to his serenade for the last week at 2-3 a.m.

The first time I heard it, it was a partly cloudy night with a full moon. I went outside to see if I could tell which direction the noise from really mad crazy women that was screaming was coming from. I heard some rustling in the bushes and the scream again - she was running straight for me!!! I ran into the house and got a gun, went outside, the clouds parted and there in the middle of the small patch of moonlight was a fox, staring straight at me, screaming its head off. Whew, I would not be axe murdered that night.
