Are the shellcrackers doing anything yet?

Honestly I have not given them much of an effort and the ones here that I know that fish hard for them have been disappointed with water conditions here, I have caught my best ones this year....flipping a red worm up on the bank while small mouth fishing, but its all been just to stay busy when the shad fishing was a little slow (which wasnt often)

IM ready to give them a try, let me know what u find

I'm at least a couple of weeks away from trying them but am starting to think about them a little. I will post after I try them.
By the way, you and I fish the same part of the lake quite often, I think. What kind of boat are you fishing out of? I'm in a cream and kind of brownish red skeeter. I keep hoping to meet you and some of the folks on here and other boards who've shared good information with me and just say hi.
