I fish in about anything if I'm there when it hits and sometimes the bite is great in bad weather. For me though, I won't drive 280 miles to Barkley for the weekend if I know it is going to be 44 with 15mph winds. On the other hand, if one waits for perfect weather to fish in this part of the country you can miss the entire spring.
I'm certainly glad I dropped my Barkley trip in April and went far south. I was feeling bad about missing the pre-spawn run when I departed for Florida but watching the weather I could see it was really raw weather here while I boated 225 bass in a week down south with a post spawn girl that was 9.1! Though for sure it was my first 10lber but no luck
I got in a very nice trip to Barkley in late March and had a great time. Seems like late March was better then most of April weather wise this year.
I'm ready for the Ohio to drop so I can start chasing them in the creeks. Maybe a 10 day stretch of dry weather will help.
Tight lines.

Good luck to ya...
