Chrysler not expected to repay 7 billion in bailout money.....

Chrysler LLC will not repay U.S. taxpayers more than $7 billion in bailout money it received earlier this year and as part of its bankruptcy filing.

This revelation was buried within Chrysler's bankruptcy filings last week and confirmed by the Obama administration Tuesday. The filings included a list of business assumptions from one of the company's key financial advisors in the bankruptcy case.

Man it sukks but I'm not surprised...I never expected any of the failing companies to pay it back. Heck they are failing companies! Failed companies have a history of bad bidness management and when you throw in the worst run company (Federal Gubment) as a brain trust that is a recipe for failure or at least deceit.
They also want 1.5 billion by June of 2010!

Re: Chrysler not expected to repay 7 billion in bailout money.....

Don has a point. Did anyone ever really believe any bailout money would be repaid? Hell some of the banks have tried to give it back and government wouldn't let them. The Democrats' plans to subvert capitalism and convert this country to Eurosocialism are moving full speed ahead.

It's also come out that AIG didn't pay out 125 million in retention bonuses like they said just after scooping up billions of bailout dollars. Nope, they paid out over 400 million in bonuses.

Nobody in the Obama administration has identified how the trillions of debt will be paid back. Wonder how all those people cheering President Obama on right now are going to feel when they get the bill? Make no mistake the bill IS coming. I know I know, they're only going to tax the rich and the corporations, we little people are going to get tax cuts. Yeah right.

Meanwhile, anyone who holds a protest is instantly branded a right wing, gun waving nut.

The administration's most current crusade is eliminating tax deferrals on international business profits, in other words raising thier taxes. Just what we need. Their proposal also calls for going after people who have money in overseas accounts and 800 new IRS employees to do that. Just what we need.

Tim Geithner, Mr. Obama's tax evading Treasury Secretary standing at the podium talking about cracking down on tax evaders makes me want to yak up a hairball.

George Bush was criminal for sending our troops to Iraq, but Barack Obama sending 20,000 more troops to Afghanistan/Pakistan is the right thing to do. Where are all you anti-war people when we need you? Your silence is deafening.

Bought a Chrysler once brand new right off the truck, 3 miles on it, made it to 11,300 miles then just went to &*%^, and they never fixed it right nothing. Last 1st and last of their products that I ever bought. Paybacks do come, cost me a littel tax money but hope they are gone.

Yeah Old Barry sure can feed a line of bull droppings huh? They must have rehearsed that speech a million times for noone to smile or look uncomfortable. What is the penalty for not paying taxes? Oops I mean for average folks not rich and crooked!

Gonna cost you a lot of tax money, and they ain't even gone. They're in chapter 11 reorganization, which among other things means they don't have to pay back many of the debts they owe. One of the debts they won't be paying back is the billions of our dollars the Democrat politicians GAVE them.

GM is next for Chapter 11, and they'll get to roll over with billions of free money. I figure both companies will survive, but since Chrysler will be owned in large part by the unions, that's a toss up.

Wait a minute, I thought they were too big to fail. I thought that we had to give them billions to preserve all those union jobs. I guess restructuring isn't so bad after all.

We need all new folks in Washington. Vote out all of the folks that are in there now that are not new to DC. The Dems and the Republicans are mostly not worth spit. They have to go to get back America. Go to a Tea Party and listen what they have to say.

They are mostly rich folks up there in DC and have stocks and owen these big buisness and they are helping them selves to our money.

We can not vote straight tickets any longer and be able to rid the government of these crooks.

    Just my two cents,
    DA
