Sounds like a really good thing to me....
Get yourself a zoom horny toad, a spro frog, a senko, and hold on.
Remember.... Grass is your friend if you want to catch fish.
Think the gills will still be on the beds this Saturday? I've never been to Dogwood but would like to try it. Afraid I may be too late.
Yes I do like fishing weeds etc. thats one of my strong points.. but these weeds are matted on the surface in some areas. usually you can work either a spinnerbait or a fluke back across the surface right above the weeds but this year a lot of places you cant even get a bait back to the boat without bringing 10 pound of weeds with you. i know theres fish in the middle of it but getting to them is another thing.. i think i'll try either working a fluke back across the top and let it fall down in the little pockets and also fish the outside weed line where you can get a bait back accross the top of the weeds might work too..
Frogs or flippin should work great. Don't forget to parallel the weed edge.
