Man! That hurts just to watch it! Just goes to show that this guy had too much boat and motor, and not enough sense to use what he has/had in a safe manner. I think we can all learn a lesson by watching this vid.

and the film crew in the chase boat crew watched him float for 10 minutes,

Too much motor, not enough brains.

It could happen to anyone, I had a 17 footer with a 115 and it could get crazy. Just looked like he was showing off for the camera. He won't do that again.

Man,what a nightmare.Good reason to start small in boating and work your way up.That could very easily be anyone of us if our first boat did 70mph and there was someone to show off for.

starting off small is alway the way to go...i had a 17 footer with a 115 for 7 years before i recently upgraded to 70+ mph boat....im still getting used to the faster boat and refuse to push it out of my comfort level even though i know it will do it....seeing these type of wrecks should help us all remember to wear our kill switch and a life jacket....its not worth losing your life just because you're in a hurry

No guys it couldn't happen to just anyone , just someone who is an idiot!!!!.I know thousands of guys who run bass boats and have NEVER had a incident like that . He thought he was on a jet ski jumping wakes.By the shear fact he was running up and down the lake like a fool it was just a matter of time until he crashed .
